Belgrade, 3 November 2014:
Today, at the Belgrade City Administration’s Secretariat for Economy, Secretary Mr. Jovan Ilijić and his associates have received a delegation of the Chamber of SMEE.
The delegation consisted of: Chairman Tanja Todosijević, Assembly Chairman Žarko Milisavljević, Chairman of the Steering Committee Saša Ristić, Member of the Steering Committee Dušan Simić and Director Siniša Bundalo.
In an open and productive conversation, the Chamber drew attention to various problems that businessmen are daily facing and also proposed some possible solutions. It was emphasised that SMEEs represent an important factor in the city’s economy both in terms of filling the budget and the number of employees as well as in terms of the capacity for further growth and development.
The Chamber put forward some concrete proposals which can be executed very quickly and which would contribute to the institutional improvement of the business ambience and the improvement of communication between businessmen and the city authorities. Mr. Jovan Ilijić showed great interest in the SMEE sector as an extremely important segment of the city’s economy and proposed that the execution of some of the suggested projects be commenced immediately.
Accordingly, the Chamber will propose the establishment of a Council for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Entrepreneurs, which the Secretary, as the legal proposer, will support.
The idea regarding the establishment of a Register of Craftsmen and Repairmen, who would be certified by the Chamber, will also be further developed. The information on and the contact details of these craftsmen and repairmen would be available at the city’s official website, which would qualitatively differentiate true service providers from those who operate in the grey zone. In addition, both the city and the Chamber would be guarantors of quality and the citizens would receive the best services at predetermined prices.
In the future period, the Chamber will propose a range of topics and projects that can improve the business ambience of the City of Belgrade.
