Dear Members of the Chamber,
The Chamber of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Entrepreneurs and its members analyse in detail all provisions of new laws and the consequences of their application upon the economic ambience in the country and monitor everything that happens in the economy – especially the circumstances that accompany the adoption of amendments and additions regarding the Labour Law as well as the amendments and additions regarding the Law on Pension and Invalidity Insurance.
It is beyond doubt that the altered conditions for and the modern trends in business operations also require radical changes of those parts of the law that are not in accordance with the economic circumstances.
The aim is clear – joining the European Union as soon as possible and harmonising the legislation of the Republic of Serbia with the European Union laws. We believe that the proposed amendments and additions are a good basis for further work on the new Labour Law, which is most likely ahead of us. Due to a short interval of time between its foundation and the public discussion on this Law, the Chamber did not participate actively in the work on these amendments and additions, but in the future period, it will take part in the negotiations relating to the new Law and all its provisions regarding the Chamber’s members. We believe that our members have every right and obligation to participate in the future work on the new Law since, on the basis of their experience and knowledge, they can undoubtedly provide some useful guidelines that would lead to the improvement of the Law, and consequently the entire economic ambience.
The work itself will be allocated to the Chamber’s expert departments, and its members will be informed in detail about all the activities and proposals that will be presented to the Serbian Parliament’s Committee, the competent legislative authorities and ministries.
We would like to invite all members of the Chamber to take an active part in the analysis of the effects of the new amendments and additions to the Labour Law and the Law on Pension and Invalidity Insurance.
