Ever since it was founded, the Chamber of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Entrepreneurs has been trying to bring a new spirit of entrepreneurship and organisation into the Serbian economy, a spirit that is in accordance with the new conditions under which business is conducted both in Serbia and around the world. The Chamber was founded in order to be at the disposal of small and medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurs:
- whose business activities constitute the great majority of all business activities in Europe and whose number constitutes as much as 91.5% of the total number of enterprises
- which employ 67.1% of the total number of workers.
Accordingly, the capacities and possibilities that these kinds of business entities offer are quite obvious.
The Chamber of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Entrepreneurs will be a service to its members and it will try to help the authorities in the development and recovery of the Serbian economy by means of its expertise and advice, since it already possesses a huge accumulated experience and knowledge of the real sector.
The Chamber is familiar with all the problems and impediments that doing business in Serbia is facing, since it is working daily on their solution and elimination. We believe that our experience and knowledge can significantly help Serbian institutions to perceive more accurately the main factors that hinder the development of business activities and that we can jointly reach better solutions, which will encourage a much faster recovery of the economy by creating positive incentives for all kinds of business activities. This may be an additional incentive for attracting foreign investors, whom we do not consider as our competitors but as our partners and an opportunity to expand the business activities of our members.
In the future, we expect a significant intensification of our work, about which the Serbian public shall be informed, so we hope that the media will recognise our efforts and wishes to improve doing business in Serbia.
Certainly, doing business based on healthy foundations and fair distribution of both work as well as profits is marked as one of our most important goals.
